History
It all started with CarrolltonDining.com in 2003 with a goal to provide a meaningful restaurant website for the 200,000 plus residents in Carroll and Haralson County Georgia. Since then, we've seen the entire West Georgia area grow quickly and many new locally-owned and franchised restaurants have opened.
This is a family run website by people who have lived in West Georgia for more than twenty years. We pride ourselves in providing the most comprehensive and accurate listing of restaurants in West Georgia. In fact, we usually find our listings are more reliable than AT&T's YellowPages.com!
Purpose
Simply put, we strive to provide a useful restaurant resource for eight counties in West Georgia. Part of our commitment to the area is our goal of personally verifying each establishment once a year by visiting the store and taking a picture. A photo image beside a restaurant is your assurance that we have been there ourselves at least once in the past twelve months and found it open to the public.
However, we recognize that we are simply facilitators using the Internet as a medium. Without places to eat and help from our visitors, this site wouldn't exist. Restaurants can close and open before we get around to them again, menus are updated, store hours change. So we value the input we received from owners and diners in the West Georgia area.
There are so many things we hope to do with this site. A contemporary update in the fall of 2008 was one of them and along with that we introduced a full-featured job board. We believe reviews are important, especially for local restaurants. And a directory of locations, menus, and coupons is a fundamental must.
